Angela Gargano

Angela is a serial entrepreneur who can’t get enough pistachio gelato, downward facing dog, and (of course) Champagne. Her first venture, Bliss Flow Yoga, was founded in 2005 and is still going strong. Its mission is to make yoga and wellness accessible and fun for all while building a strong community.

Her work with yoga led to an innovative Yoga + Wine program that was featured in the New York Times, Food & Wine Magazine, Wine Enthusiast, Wine Spectator, Gotham Magazine and more. In addition, Angela has led Yoga + Wine workshops and retreats around the world including Napa, Barcelona, New York, Sicily and more.

The daughter of two chefs, Angela grew up in her family’s restaurant developing her taste for the simple pleasures in life-good food and good wine shared with family. She got her first taste of the wine industry working as a wine buyer in San Francisco. After earning her Certified Sommelier in 2010, she dipped her toes in grape crushing at Patz & Hall Winery during the 2012 harvest. In 2013, she worked the wine harvest at Bedrock Wine Company which specializes in wines from California's historic vineyards.  Angela also founded and ran Angels + Thieves Wines-an online wine club based in Sonoma, California that specialized in small production craft wines from around the globe.

In 2013, she joined her father, Chef Peppino Gargano, to help out in the newest family venture, Gargano + Co Artisan Foods, which produces hand-crafted pasta sauces and meal starters for specialty retail. She's currently collaborating on a series of  trips with Shop, Wine and Dine, a luxury tour company based in New York that specializes in tours for food, wine and music lovers. Angela also serves on the board of Friends of the State Street Family, a grassroots organization that supports our local homeless community as well as volunteering for the nonpartisan Wisconsin Center for Investigative Journalism whose mission is to to seek truth and report it in order to foster an informed citizenry, protect the vulnerable and strengthen democracy.

In addition, Angela consults for organizations, both big and small, on marketing, social media and  how to start or grow your business. She recently consulted for the Stanford School of Medicine on social media as well as guest blogging at their MedX conference this past September. Her diverse experience and strong entrepreneurial spirit gives her a unique perspective and ability to help your organization achieve its goals. Angela believes in big dreams, hard work and appreciating life's little pleasures.
