To the Bliss Flow Yoga community,

Thirteen years ago today I opened the door for business at Bliss Flow Yoga and took the first step of a wonderful adventure. It seems only fitting that today, on our 13th anniversary, the journey comes full circle as I announce that I’m selling Bliss Flow Yoga to our longtime executive director, Jennifer Braun.

If you’ve been following along, you’ll know that for the last several years, I’ve stepped back from much of the day-to day-operations as I pursued other entrepreneurial ventures. The time now seems right to pass the torch completely to Jennifer.

Let me start by reassuring all of our loyal clients that your class passes and memberships will still be valid and you’ll enjoy the same wonderful yoga experience that you always have. I’m also proud that the studio will stay “in the family” with Jennifer purchasing it and that it will continue to be a woman-owned and family-run small business that gives back to the larger community.

Bliss Flow Yoga started as a dream to create a space that was about more than yoga -- a space that was warm, welcoming and felt like home. A place where you could come for yoga and stay to enjoy a cup of tea with friends. To our clients that believed in that dream from the beginning, I say thank you from the bottom of my heart. Being part of this community has been one of the great joys of my life, and Bliss will always be my yoga home. I have 13 years of incredible memories of practicing yoga and celebrating life (with a cupcake in hand) with all of you and for that, I’m so grateful.

To all of you that are now (or have been a past) part of the Bliss team I can’t begin to say how grateful I am for your hard work, dedication and the sheer love that you give to your work. Bliss was never just a creation of mine. It was a creation of a team of incredible people that gave their all to build community and create a new kind of yoga studio. It truly does take a village, and I couldn’t have asked for a better one.

I’m grateful specifically to have had Jennifer by my side for the past 9 years. The studio couldn’t have grown or thrived to this point without her, and I’m grateful for her friendship, creativity and hard work. One of the things I’ll miss most is our multiple-times-per-day phone calls strategizing and chatting and laughing together.I have no doubt that she’ll do an incredible job running the studio and that it will continue to thrive under her leadership and vision.

Finally, to my friends and family, words can’t even begin to express how grateful I am for your love and support. Thank you for being there for me to encourage me when times were tough and to celebrate with me when times were good. To my dad and brothers, thank you for being there to pick up a paint brush or fix a leaky faucet at a moment’s notice. To my mom, Kathy, this has been as much your baby as mine, and I can’t imagine having gone through this journey without your unwavering support (or your delicious cupcakes). Thank you for always, always believing in my crazy ideas no matter what.

One of the most important things we learn on our yoga mat is to let go into the ever-changing flow of things. It’s time for me to move forward into that flow and explore new challenges and new adventures. As we all move forward with this change in our community, I want to say how lucky I feel to have practiced and worked and sipped tea with all of you. Opening Bliss Flow Yoga and being able to guide our community for the last 13 years has been an honor and a joy that I’ll never stop feeling grateful for.

Wishing you all peace, love and light!

Namaste-

Angela
